Serenity. The best Go'ram movie in a long time.

Okay, so many people never saw the TV series Firefly (it was cut short in the fall of 2002.) And then those same people probably didn't buy the DVD set of the 14 episodes (11 of which aired before it was cancelled) that came out exactly 1 year later. Well I did! Why? Simply because it was the best Go'ram show on TV and subsequently the best movie I've seen in a long time. "I saw the trailer but I really couldn't tell if I was going to like the movie," said a co-worker in the hall this morning. I've seen it twice, and I'll tell you that you don't even have to see the trailer, or the TV series to enjoy this film. Although if you have seen the series the movie becomes at least 250% better. It's such a shame that after a little over a week of release in over 2100 theaters the film has only grossed $17.6 million at the box office. Hell, I'd see it again as long as I could get all of my so-called friends to go with me to experience the best move they will have ever seen in a long time. Comedy, action, excellent acting, cunning writing, and SCI-FI... what else could you want (appealing to men ages 18-35)? So many of my "friends" are lost when it comes to this movie. Just go see it. Please. You can ask my wife, ever since they cancelled the show every month or so I would say to her, "I miss Firefly." I just had this ache in my heart for the characters, the story and the ship. Well, they finally made the movie and that ache has been healed. Thank you die-hard fans and Joss Whedon for making this film a reality and "telling the story."
